Basketball registration forms are now available. Students in area elementary schools should be bringing home registration forms the week of October 22. Trenton Middle School students can pick up a registration form off the circulation desk in the TMS library/media center. Registration forms can also be found on our website.
GHRA has modified the divisions for basketball this season. Please pay close attention to grade level and what basketball is needed when completing the registration form. Registration forms need to be filled out completely. Pay close attention and double check your child's grade level and t-shirt size. Registration forms are due back no later than November 9, 2018. Registration forms can be returned to American Family Insurance, Grundy County Health Department, or mailed to GHRA at PO Box 202. This information can be found on the registration form. Gilman City will be hosting a softball camp on October 20-21. 4th Grade-High School students Pitching/Catching Camp $15.00 Hitting/Fielding Camp $35.00 2018 Oklahoma State University (OSU) Softball graduates, Jamie Lowrie-Overton (outfielder) and Emmie Robertson (starting pitcher) will be here to assist with the camp. Green Hills Recreation Association will be hosting the 5-6 softball tournament starting June 11 at the Ebbe Sports Complex. Games will be played each night starting at 6:00 PM with the championship game being held on Friday, June 15 on Griffin Field. Teams will be seeded following the last games of the season on June 6. Starting Sunday, June 17, GHRA will be hosting the machine pitch tournament. Games will be played at Ebbe Sports Complex each night starting at 6:00 PM. The championship game will be on Johnson Field Friday, June 22. Teams will be seeded following the last games of the season on June 14. Click here to check out the live tournament bracket. Opening Ceremonies will be held Sunday, April 22 at 3:30 PM at Lower Moberly ball field at Moberly Park. Sponsors will have the opportunity to be recognized along with their team in front of friends and family.
Prior to the Opening Ceremonies GHRA will host Pitch, Hit, and Run. Any player aged 7-14 is eligible to compete in this nationally recognized event. Players will be scored based on three categories. The top scorer in each age bracket will move on to regional competition in early May. The local competition will begin at 1:30 PM on April, 22. GHRA is looking for baseball and softball umpires for the 2018 summer ball season. GHRA is once again offering fan shirts this year for our summer ball teams. The 2018 fan shirts will be Gildan 50/50 shirts with your team's company logo on the front. Cost is $15 per shirt with an extra $2.00 for larger sizes. To get your fan shirt, fill out the order form below by March 20. All order forms and payments must be submitted by Tuesday, March 20.

January 29, 2018 Green Hills Recreation Association (GHRA) Electing New Board Members The Green Hills Recreation Association (GHRA) will be electing new board members to fill two-year terms on Wednesday, February 7 beginning at 5:15 p.m. at the Trenton High/Middle School Media Center. Those interested in fulfilling a board term should attend for more information, be nominated, and all candidates will be voted on for board election. GHRA board members oversee the establishment and organization of recreational activities, create new and future activities, obtain, oversee, and organize volunteers, umpires/referees, and committee members, help with fundraising, oversee bylaws, regulations, purchasing, and other necessary administrative duties. All GHRA board members are volunteers and do not receive monetary compensation for service. To be a board member, you must live in the Green Hills area, pass a background check, be in good standing with GHRA, and attend monthly meetings. GHRA is an active organization and participation is needed from all members of the board. Board terms are in increments of two years and several officer elections will be held. Persons can also volunteer for fundraising, or coaching committee, as a coach, referee/umpire, or as a sponsor. Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend the February meeting. GHRA is a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization serving the Green Hills area providing youth and adult opportunities to participate in recreational activities. GHRA is organized by a volunteer board of directors and volunteer community members serving on committees, as coaches, and other service opportunities. GHRA is funded through area business and individual sponsorships, participation entry fees, and donations. 2018 marks the beginning of the third year of GHRA since its establishment in 2016. Since 2016, GHRA has organized summer t-ball, softball, and baseball, obtained new and regulation equipment, reinstated Pitch, Hit, Run and Punt, Pass, Kick to the area, reintroduced youth basketball, established a scholarship so all youth can participate in GHRA recreational activities, and obtained sponsors and donations allowing GHRA to provide area recreation.
